About

About DGI

Exhibits, events, and logistics — designed, machined, and crated in Orlando, installed wherever your show takes you.

Our Story

One roof instead of four vendors

DGI was founded in YYYY (placeholder) by a small crew of builders who were tired of watching exhibit programs get passed between a designer, a broker, a fabricator, and a labor company — with the client absorbing every miscommunication.

We put all of it under one roof in Orlando: design, engineering, CNC routing, millwork, metal fabrication, graphics, crating, and installation. Being minutes from the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) means we can be on-site fast when something changes mid-install — and it happens on every show.

Today we support first-time exhibitors with a single 10×10 and national brands running island programs across a dozen cities a year. The approach is the same either way: pre-build it right in the shop, and there's nothing to fix on the floor.

The Facility

An in-house fabrication shop, not a broker's office

Our Orlando facility runs approximately XX,XXX sq ft (placeholder) of shop floor: a CNC routing cell, a wood shop for Baltic birch and MDF millwork, a metal bay for aluminum extrusion and steel welding, a finishing and paint area, a large-format graphics room, and dedicated pre-build bays where full booths are assembled and lit before crating.

Attached crated storage holds client exhibits between shows, and dock doors put completed crates on a truck the same day they pass inspection.

The Crew

Sean Hagen, Founder of DGI

Founder's Note

"I started DGI because too many exhibitors were paying for a booth nobody in the building had actually built. We cut, weld, finish, and pre-build every job under our own roof — so when your crate opens on the show floor, it fits. That's the whole promise."

Certifications & Union Labor

Who is allowed to build your booth

Certain convention centers — including the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) — have jurisdictions where installation, dismantle, rigging, or electrical work must be performed by local union labor. The rules vary by venue, by trade, and sometimes by booth size.

DGI coordinates local union labor as required per venue: we read each show's exhibitor services manual, order the correct labor calls before the discount deadline, and put our own supervisor on the floor to run the build against our drawings. You never have to negotiate jurisdiction in an aisle.

Certifications and insurance certificates (COI, venue-specific credentials) available on request — placeholder pending confirmation.

Sustainability

An increasingly common question

More RFPs now ask how an exhibit is sourced, reused, and disposed of. Here's how we answer it — plainly, without claiming more than a fabrication shop can deliver.

Material sourcing

FSC-certified Baltic birch and plywood where the spec allows, low-VOC adhesives and finishes, and aluminum extrusion that is fully recyclable at end of life.

Reuse & refurbishment

Structures are engineered to be re-skinned rather than rebuilt. We inventory panels, counters, and framing after each show and refurbish them — new graphics, refinished faces, updated lighting — instead of scrapping and starting over.

Waste reduction

CNC nesting to reduce sheet-goods offcuts, scrap wood diverted to crate construction, and cardboard, aluminum, and steel separated for recycling out of the shop.
